Halflite formed in 2001, but Mark & Steve originally met in 1991 whilst attending a sound engineering course. They have worked on various projects together before forming halflite.

Mark was from a house & rave background while Steve was from a hip hop & soul background. Both were deejaying prior to meeting.

Halflite draws it’s musical inspiration from house, techno, hip hop, soul, funk and jazz. Look out for these influences in Bad luck & Mandarin soul.
